Define Laboratories and Offices

In this Tutorial, we will learn how to define the laboratories/offices in SAP system. This Filed is defined to be the laboratory or design office that is responsible for the material , it is used more frequently in Production Planing (PP) to identify the person responsible for a bill of materials and normally required if the material is a chemical component. This field is maintained in the Basic Data view on a material master record

STEP 1: Following is the path to Define Laboratories and Offices

• IMG activity path :IMG > LOGISTICS – GENERAL  => MATERIAL MASTER  => SETTINGS FOR KEY FIELS=>  DEFINE LABORATORIES AND OFFICES
• Transaction code : SPRO

 

STEP 2:  Click on execute button to create the LABORATORIES AND OFFICES (Following type Window will open), Click on “New Entries” button to create the new LABORATORIES AND OFFICES

STEP 3:  Following type Window will open, Give appropriate lab/Office  code & Description 

 STEP 4:  Click on Save Button to store Configured data.
