ASSIGN PLANT TO COMPANY CODE

In this post we will learn how to assign the PLANT to COMPANY CODE, to run the SAP ERP system, we have to assign the Plant to Company Code

·         You can assign as many as Plant to Company Code but A plant can only belong to one company code.

·         Complete functionality of the system can only be ensured if the plants assigned to a company code are only those situated in the same country as the company code.

It is therefore recommended that you also create a company code for each country in which a plant is situated. Examples

• Only then are tax postings created when transferring stock between plants in different countries.
• The taxation procedure and Intrastat declaration are supported only for the country of the company code.

Requirements

Before you can assign plants to company codes, you must

1.     Define the valuation control.

2.     Done the Procedure to Created the Plant & Company Code

STEP 1: Following is the path For ASSIGN COMPANY CODE TO COMPANY

• IMG activity path :IMG > ENTERPRISE STRUCTURE > ASSIGNMENT > LOGISTICS GENERAL>ASSIGN PLANT TO COMPANY CODE
• Transaction code : OX18

STEP 2:Click On SAP reference IMG Option, and then Go as per following Path

STEP 2.1: Click on execute button to ASSIGN PLANT TO COMPANY CODE (Following type Window will open)

STEP 3:  Click on New Entries Button (Following type Window will open)

STEP 3.1:  Update the Following data

• CoCd : Enter the Company Code
• Plnt : Enter the Plant Code

STEP 4:  Hit Enter Button & Then Click on Save Button to store Configured data

·         You can navigate the Org Structure in Organizational Object Company Code ( using T Code EC01)

o    EC02 > Click on Structure button > Click on Navigation button > click on Tick Button > scroll to your company & Double click , then you will see the step wise Org structure
