SAP CIN Tools : How to Use MESSAGE CONTROL Function ?

In this chapter we lean how  we can specify whether a given message should appear as a warning message or an error message.
Enter each message that we want, specifying whether it should apply to one user or all users.

STEP 1: Following is the path For to Maintain the EXCISE DEFAULTS

• IMG activity path :IMG > LOGISTIC GENERAL > TAX ON GOODS MOVEMENT>INDIA>TOOLS> MESSAGE CONTROL
• Transaction code : SPRO

STEP 2: Click on execute button to Maintain the MESSAGE CONTROL Function

STEP 3:   Click on New Entry if you want create new MESSAGE CONTROL Pr you can update existing entry by clicking &  Updating the Following Data

• Application Area : Here we specify the application area to which the error message belongs. We can enter max 20. character description in the field as per our requirement
• Message number : Here we have to specify the message number . We can enter max 3 character as of our own choice.
• Transaction Code :- We have specify for which T-code the the message should be appear
• Note: - If we don't specify the particular T-code then this message is set- up for all T-Code.
• User Name ;- We can define different message for same T-code but for Different User.
• Note :- If we don't specify the particular User then message is set-up to all User.
•  Message Type :- Here we have to select the message type.We can select any one of the following which are predefined in System which fulfills our requirement.

STEP 5:  Click on Save Button to store Configured data
